The Trucking Safety Council of BC is a not-for-profit WorkSafeBC Partner, whose mandate is to promote occupational health and safety in the trucking industry. The Council’s Certificate of Recognition (COR) program was put in place to recognize trucking industry employers for their commitment to health and safety procedures.

Lambda Solutions, a Vancouver-based e-Learning company, and Moodle Partner will work with TSCBC over the next few months, to develop a custom Integrated Management System (IMS) and Auditing Tool (AT) for the COR project. The IMS and AT will be based on a customized Moodle LMS platform, developed from scratch. The finished product is expected to launch in September, providing TSCBC with Learning Management, Auditing, Database and Data Management capabilities, in a single web-based tool.

“The Trucking Safety Council of BC has found Lambda to be a competent and professional organization,” said Rob Weston, Executive Director of TSCBC. “We are happy to have them provide us with a management tool that will meet our needs.”

About TSCBC
With funding assistance from WorkSafeBC, the Trucking Safety Council of BC was created in February 2008 to address the high personal and economic costs of work-related injury and death in the trucking industry. The primary objective of the Council is to establish itself as a key agency representing the occupational health and safety needs of the trucking industry in BC by providing services and programs that will influence improvements in workplace safety performance. It also provides a leadership role by advocating for safety improvements where required and supporting ongoing research on issues of industry safety and management.
