This intensive one-day course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the administrative functions of a Moodle site. Here are the topics we cover:

  • Managing site layout
  • Customising text in the interface (e.g., changing "student" to "learner" throughout the system
  • Making changes to themes
  • Adding and removing modules, blocks and filters
  • Managing the calendar
  • The options available in the HTML editor
  • Managing user accounts
  • Authentication of users, including manual and email authentication

  • Managing roles and system access
  • Backup at the site and course level
