Lambda Solutions has successfully deployed a custom Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) for the Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Healthcare in British Columbia (OHSAH).
January, 2010
Vancouver, BC, Jan 10, 2010 -Lambda Solutions has successfully deployed a custom Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) for the Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Healthcare in British Columbia (OHSAH).
OHSAH is a provincial government agency which provides injury and illness prevention training for British Columbia’s healthcare industry workers. In the fall of 2009, OHSAH contracted Lambda Solutions, a Vancouver-Based authorized Moodle Partner, to deploy its training material into a Moodle Learning Management System. The Moodle was successfully rolled out for testing in late 2009, allowing OHSAH to more effectively train, track, certify and provide feedback to learners, over the web. The organization is now preparing to administer the Moodle to Healthcare Workers around B.C.
"We chose Moodle because it's cost effective to install, has no annual licensing fees and is a flexible and modular install, allowing us to build out the system with more functionality as we need to," said Catherine Ogden, Director of Knowledge Solutions for OHSAH. "Overall we are very satisfied with Moodle. It has streamlined our learning process for users and has enabled more instructional methods to be incorporated into future course developments, such as discussion forums, blogs and wikis."
Lambda finished developing and installing the Moodle LMS in late 2009, with a custom theme, functionality and compatibility with a Windows-based environment. OHSAH’s Knowledge Solutions team is now preparing to administer their Moodle-based courses to B.C Healthcare Workers and Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees around British Columbia.
